Giving end users every opportunity
to experience the powerful AMD Athlon™64 as introduced
last fall, Era held a promotional roadshow in Taichung,
Kaohsiung and Taipei. Through this innovative roadshow,
Era closed the gap between consumers and AMD, successfully
promoting the AMD brand.
Seizing to benefit from the exposure attained from the
2003 Taipei Computex, Era held the roadshow soon after,
but before the rush of the Chinese New Year. Era paid
close attention to consumers’ demand for more
speed, better quality and cheaper prices when sourcing
IT hardware. Hence, Era decided to host a one-dollar
auction to involve visitors. This proved highly popular
among all visitors. Many clinched a bargain by savvy
bidding and took home a stack of products that very
day. What better way to promote the speed of AMD products
than to whip up action at the auction?
This event presented the perfect platform to explain
the uniqueness of AMD products, and to display its vast
top-notch product range. On show were Athlon™64
processors, notebooks, desktop computers, and many other
AMD accessories. The variety of items on display impressed
many end users.
The roadshow held over three weeks events, attracted
more than 1,000 visitors. Era collected 1,300 valid
questionnaires to help AMD gain a general impression
of the end-user market towards AMD and their expectations.
The event received much approval from consumers, making
it easy to proceed to the next stages of the promotion.
It goes to show that yelling can get you what you want.
