In Feb. 2004, Era held a press conference for Oracle Taiwan to establish the relationship between the media and Oracle Taiwan. In the press conference, Mr. Gary Wu, the managing director of Oracle Taiwan, delivered with enthusiasm the outlook of expansion strategies and business directions for year 2004. Three vice presidents were present to join the kick-off ceremony and demonstrate the completion of the sales arsenal.

Since Gary Wu was officially introduced for the first time in the press conference, Era has generated a creative slogan that synthesizes Gary’s Chinese name and Oracle Database 10g. For the kick-off ceremony, Era highlighted the Chinese New Year culture by arranging a monkey show with the decoration theme focused in Oracle Database 10g. The innovation successfully portrayed the happiness of Chinese culture, and emphasized the future prosperity of Oracle Database 10g.

The press conference was held as an media luncheon, to create the opportunity in which the top management team and the media mingled, communicated and rubbed shoulders with each other. Even though many other companies were also hosting kick-off events at the same period of time, media attendance and exposures were still phenomenal. In total, there were 52 media attendees and 33 clippings covered in major newspapers, weekly magazine, online news, and TV.
